Happy autumn! The Ronald McDonald House Charities® of Connecticut and Western Massachusetts enjoyed a great summer, working to help area children lead happier, healthier and more productive lives. Learn more about recent initiatives below, or by visiting www.rmhc-ctma.org.
FILL RONALD McDONALD’S SHOES
McDonald’s restaurants in Connecticut and Western Massachusetts held a successful two-week fundraiser in August to benefit the local RMHC chapter. The Fill Ronald McDonald’s Shoes Fundraiser involved the sale of paper cutouts of Ronald McDonald shoes for $1, which customers wrote their names on and posted inside each restaurant. Now in its sixth year, the fundraiser tallied a record-breaking $97,907 for the charity! RMHC extends its sincere appreciation to McDonald’s and its customers for their continued support and partnership.
NEW ONLINE DONATION PROCESS
If you weren’t able to contribute to the “Shoes” fundraiser, there are other ways you can support RMHC, including dropping spare change at donation boxes in McDonald’s restaurants or holding your own fundraiser for the charity. RMHC of Connecticut and Western Massachusetts is also pleased to unveil another easy way for supporters to give to the charity: a new safe and secure online donation process. Simply use your credit or debit card to make a tax-deductible contribution to the charity. Or download a form to submit a check through the mail. Visit www.rmhc-ctma.org/how-you-can-help for full details.
