In May 2008, Arturo and his mom Ana first traveled from the Dominican Republic to participate in a 3-month orthopedic program.
"When we first arrived, I remember feeling very sad. I was crying all the time. I was far away from my country. Over time, I felt better as I became familiar with things at the Ronald McDonald House.
Since then, we have returned to the Ronald McDonald House two more times. I have always come with my son. He says, “My mom is my medicine!"
This Mother’s Day, consider making a gift in celebration of a special person in your life while helping the moms of the Ronald McDonald House Charities of Connecticut and Western Massachusetts.
