The Happy House

The Happy House

I wanted to express my thoughts on the personal experience that I have had at the Ronald McDonald House. When I first started to think of volunteering at the House, I really thought that it was something I was prepared for, since I love children so much. What I didn’t know was how fulfilling it would be to actually engage with the families and the helpful staff that is so much part of the House. Going to the House and feeling like you are contributing to the very essence of people’s life’s who have been altered due to health problems and seeing with your very eyes how much faith and strength is in these people, has not only humbled me but also has made me more aware of how fortunate we are to be able to share our time with those in need.

These families and their love ones are now very much part of my life. When I’m home I think of them, and at night pray for their health. I give them my love and attention and their children are treated as such.

I will forever be grateful for this opportunity to volunteer at the Happy House which is what I refer to the Ronald McDonald House as.
