Every time you visit a McDonald’s restaurant in the United States, choose “Round-Up for RMHC” when you order from a kiosk, or ask to “Round-Up” your total at the counter or drive-thru. Doing so will round your order to the nearest dollar, and the extra cents applied to your total will be donated directly to Ronald McDonald House Charities.
A few cents dropped in a donation box might not feel like much, but when millions of McDonald’s customers give at thousands of restaurants around the world, spare change adds up to help hundreds of thousands of families around the world. In 2019, over $27 million US dollars in small change was donated by McDonald’s customers alone. Most McDonald’s restaurants in the US and around the world feature RMHC Donation Boxes inside or in the drive-thru window year-round.
Every time you purchase a Happy Meal at a McDonald’s restaurant, two cents are donated to support RMHC programs and services, including Ronald McDonald House, Ronald McDonald Family Room, and Ronald McDonald Care Mobile.
McDonald’s customers are also able to round up their purchase or donate to Ronald McDonald House Charities through the McDonald’s mobile app. Through your generosity, donating to RMHC through McDonald’s restaurants could help RMHC provide about 270,000 overnight stays to families with children in need of care.
