Comforting meals to warm hearts

Our Houses are safe havens providing all the comforts of home, plus the compassion and hospitality of our staff, volunteers and other families. Supporting our families with a home cooked or catered meal is among the most generous donations our volunteers and community members can make, helping to nourish parents and their children during trying and difficult times.

If you would like to provide a meal for our families, please call our Houses to schedule a date and time for your meal donation. This will allow us to notify the families staying with us of your generosity and ensure that multiple meals are not donated at the same time. We find that the best option for donating a meal is food that can easily be separated and shared into portions for our families. Options like pizza, pasta, and tacos are common donations.

Providing a meal during COVID-19

Due to COVID-19 restrictions, we must limit the number of meal volunteers allowed in our Houses to physically cook a meal for families. If you would like to come to one of our Houses to cook a meal, please call to schedule a time and to receive the most up-to-date information on our restrictions.

We are still able to accept catered meals from restaurants or meals that were cooked in a commercial kitchen. You may arrange for your donated meal to be delivered to our Houses by a restaurant, DoorDash, Grubhub or UberEats. You may also drop off meals at our Houses through a contactless process.

If you would like to donate a meal to our families, please contact our program administrators at a House near you.
