Sarah and Steven Brooks’ newborn son, Stevie, was born with a severe lung infection and transferred to the NICU at Yale New Haven Hospital. With their home over an hour away, the Ronald McDonald House provided them a place to stay near the hospital, allowing constant access to their baby and his care team. The House offered not only proximity but also emotional support, comfort, and community during a traumatic time. The Brooks family described RMH as a vital part of Stevie’s recovery.
